The current Building Service Contractors Association of Australia - Queensland Division Board of Directors are:
Kim Puxty – President (Caldcare Pty Ltd)
Kim has worked within the cleaning industry for over 20 years and has completed several industry related courses including a collection of Internal Auditing courses, Cert I & II in Occupational Health & Safety Risk Management and Cert IV in Business Administration, Diploma in Management, Governance for Directors and Financial Training for Board Members of Registered Industrial Organisations.
Kim has been present on the BSCAA board since 2010 and a Board Member of QLeave since 2011.
Mark Nipper – Vice-President (Sharman Property Services)
Mark is the Managing Director of Sharman Property Services and has been on the BSCAA Board for since 2015.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Business Administration, and has over 16 years’ experience in the Commercial Cleaning sector complimented by a comprehensive management background.
Brian Ellem – Board Member (Ellems Cleaning Services Pty Ltd)
Brian Ellem is the founder of Ellems Cleaning Services Pty Ltd and has over 40 years’ experience in the cleaning industry. Before starting his own company Brian worked as an Operations Manager in Wollongong, New South Wales for a period of 7 years, where he was in control of accounts such as BHP Port Kembla Works. He then transferred to the role of State Manager for Pritchard Services. Brian then started his own company, Ellems Cleaning Services Pty Ltd, in 1984. Brian has been involved with BSCAA for over 20 years and held the role of President for BSCAA Queensland Division for 2 years in 2011 and currently holds the position of Treasurer for BSCAA National. In 2009 he was awarded life membership in recognition of his distinguished services to BSCAA.
Paul Ryan – Board Member (Baytons Property Services Pty Ltd)
Paul has 20+ years experience as State Manager, Operations and Marketing of commercial cleaning contracts in Victoria, ACT and Queensland for Swan Services, Pickwick Group, Jani-King, and Lonsdale’s (now Menzies). He is fully experienced in setting up new contracts from major Shopping Complexes to Commercial Buildings and in developing site methodologies, safety plans, OH&S site requirements and client liaison. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business in Hotel/Motel Management & Catering a Certificate IV in Cleaning Operations and a Certificate in Environmentally Sustainable Work Practices.
Joanna Hudson – Board Member (Vintage Cleaning Pty Ltd)
Joanna has a degree in Facility Management and has in excess of 30 years’ experience in procurement and the contract cleaning industry having held management positions in both the private and public sectors. In past positions Joanna has been instrumental in achieving positive changes within the contract cleaning industry and government procurement processes. Joanna has provided consultancy services to government agencies on cleaning services and productivity targets and formed part of an industry team that developed training modules for TAFE in all facets of cleaning services.
Mark Hohn - Board Member (CMBM Facility Services)
Mark is the Managing Director of CMBM Facility Services, who joined forces with Damien Cann in 2005 to offer cleaning services to the hospitality industry. Mark has successfully grown 3 companies in Queensland, and transformed the business into the leading provider of facility services it is today. Mark is directly accountable for sales, operations and service delivery throughout Queensland to a large range of sectors. He brings experience in asset, business and facilities management and holds a Certificate 3 and 4 in Asset Management, along with a Diploma in Business and Management. Mark joined the BSCAA board in 2017.
Troy Stahlhut - Board Member (Cleanworks Australia)
Troy is an authentic leader who has 12 years’ experience as General Manager, joining Cleanworks Australia team in February 2016. Focusing on all aspects of operating the business in particular delivering growth through executing a strong sales strategy and delivering operations to exceed customers’ expectations.Troy has previously lead a multinational company with staff resources in excess 1,600+, represented industry bodies as a key note speaker and has been part of an advisory working party in Standard Australia.
Mark Jones - Board Member (FreshOps)
Mark Jones has a background in general management in teh corporate world and brings a wealth of knowledge in Digital Products and Services and experience with growing businesses that are dependent on technology. Mark is a director of freshops.com.au which is a cleaning industry software. Mark joined the BSCAA Queensland Board in June 2017.
Rick MacKenzie - Board Member (Commercial Property Cleaning Pty Ltd)
Rick MacKenzie has been in the cleaning industry for the past 38 years and is currently the CEO of Commercial Property Cleaning Pty Ltd. In the past he has been the BSCAA QLD President, BSCAA National President, BSCAA National Vice-President and the BSCAA National CEO.
Peter King – Board Member (Biniris (Aust) Pty Ltd)
Peter King is the Managing Director of Biniris (Aust) Pty Ltd and has been on the BSCAA Queenland Board for many years.
Rod Abbott - Board Member (NRE Maintenance)
In 2015 after 10 years working at various levels for a large multinational company, Rodney (Rod) Abbott took the plunge and fulfilled a long standing dream of establishing his own commercial and residential cleaning company. This desire started many years back whilst helping out a close friend in the UK with some aspects of his cleaning business and observing the skills and dedication required to operate a successful cleaning operation. This, along with skills learnt in the corporate world, Rod felt he could offer customers a top quality cleaning service they so richly deserved. Rod joined the BSCAA Queensland Board in June 2017.
Carl Dutton - Board Member (Pickwick Group Pty Ltd)
Carl has combined more than 15 years of experience in facilities management with strong leadership skills, customer relationship focus, business development and business knowledge within the industry.
While managing different business throughout my career I has built a strong knowledge of the following, Financial Accounts, Business plans, budgets, HR and IR management, commercial acumen and analytical skills.

Cassie Ruhe-Hodge has been working with BSCAA Queensland since 2016. As the Executive Officer Cassie is the point of call for all BSCAA Queensland enquiries, act's as a spokesperson for BSCAA Queensland, is responsible for organising the BSCAA Queensland events and looks after the administration of the company. Cassie also organises the companies board meetings and works with the board to develop a strategic plan for the Association.
Donna Bennett has worked in secretarial and administrative roles for more than 27 years. In 1997 she started her own company, Office Logistics, based south of Brisbane which now provides secretarial services to a wide range of professional and industry associations, academics and businesses.
